MySpace my arse, Arctic Monkeys would have been one of the biggest and best band of the 2000's with or without the internet. Traipsing over record after the record, the Sheffield foursome played London's Astoria before they were signed, went straight to number one with their first single proper and sold their debut album to half of Britain on its first day of release. They even managed to make a second album - 2007's Favourite Worst Nightmare - to stand up the first. Humbug, released two years later on - of course - Domino, kept momentum moving along nicely.
