With the tools and technology available today, it’s surprising more haven’t taken the Jimmy Tamborello and Ben Gibbard route of utilizing the world wide postal service. It’s of equal wonder too that after a dozen comprehensive years of recorded output - three-and-a-half hours of recently unleashed woodshed demos included - Buck 65’s idiosyncratic rhymes have yet to be backed by electronic production. Enter, then, Bike For Three!, the blind date collaboration between Nova Scotia’s foremost MC/ drive time radio disc jockey and Belgian electronic producer Greetings from Tuskan. Joëlle (Greetings…) found Rich (Buck) but they’ve never met. Nor might they ever.
Yet on May 2009's Anticon-released debut More Heart Than Brains, the pair appeared remarkably attuned with one another with Buck sounding more affecting and more heartfelt, something perhaps down to the fact that he is sent the music and writes to the moods Joëlle comes up with. A marriage made in 21st century heavan
