Furiously anonymous until a Mercury Prize nomination created a UK press manhunt for his identity, south london dubstep producer Burial - or William Bevan as he outed himself as in August 2008 - released his self-titled debut on the Hyperdub label in 2006 to much acclaim. Untrue, the afforementioned Mercury nominated album, followed in 2007 to even wider acclaim and despite the interest in his identity, Burial remained under the radar, popping up for air (only just, given no promos were released) with a secretive 12" split with Fourtet in May 2009.
