Caribou

While we've little time for a change of name prompting a calculated change of fortune, Dan Snaith had our deepest of sympathies when former Directors frontman Handsome Dick Manitoba forced the Canadian to change his name from Mantioba to Caribou. Debut Start Breaking My Heart and Up In Flames were duly sent back to be repackaged and Snaith came out laughing when album number four Andorra scooped Canada's Polaris prize.
