Having first collaborated on Chris Cohen's solo project Curtains, ex-Deerhoff guitarist Chris Cohen and vocalist/instrumentalist Nedelle Torrisi appartently discovered percussionist Michael Carreira via a video of him playing cowbell on YouTube and began recording in Oakland, CA as Cryptacize in 2007. The threesome signed to Asthmatic Kitty and released their debut album, Dig That Treasure in early 2008, with the more structurally sound Mythomania following in 2009.
