Like fellow 2008 synth conquerors M83, Cut Copy drew influences from the 80s to find hooks so catchy that the Aussie three-piece near perfected their pop sound on In Ghost Colours. Released four years after their Modular debut Bright Like Neon Love, the band's second album topped their native album charts and made a dent both side's of the Atlantic before troubling more than a few end of year lists.
