Department Of Eagles

Originally known as The Whitey on the Moon UK, Department of Eagles began as the recording project between New York University college roommates Fred Nicolaus and Daniel Rossen who met in 2000. After a couple of EP's, the pair released The Whitey on the Moon UK in 2003 and after having to change their name repressed it as The Cold Nose on UK label Melodic in 2005. Rossen had joined Grizzly Bear the previous year and their success limited DOE's output until the sublime In Ear Park was released to rapturous acclaim in 2008.
