The work of Black Mountain frontman Stephen McBean, the Vancouver native had originally traded solo by the One Easy Skag before rechristianing the project as Pink Mountaintops in 2003 (around the same time Jerk With A Bomb becamce Black Mountain). The Pink Mountaintops' self-titled debut album arrived in the summer of 2004 and while Black Mountain's self-titled debut album made its mark a year later, McBean brought his project back the following year with Axis of Evol. The third Pink Mountaintops album Outside Love was released in 2009.
