Conor O'Brien's (Villagers) albums of the decade
I've tried but I just can't seem to rate the albums in order of 1-10 so chronologically...

This album makes me remember my childhood nightmares in great detail.
My introduction to Wilco... I just remember hearing 'Radio Cure' and thinking "holy shit!", and then "holy shit!".
This is my favourite album by The Walkmen. A perfect mixture of scraggly energy and artful melody. I can't understand how the singer keeps singing like that!
I love the way this album is so epic whilst sounding like it was recorded in a bedroom. The whole thing works thematically, sonically and lyrically. A very accomplished piece of work.
Amazing music, words, delivery... It sounds consistently inspired (if that makes sense?)..
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
This record is awesome.
I believe that Jen Lekman is a genius. His songs inspire so many emotions in me. I see him as a guide and mentor in the realm of the power of humour in emotionally charged romantic pop songs.
Pretty much a masterpiece, but an intensely unwelcoming masterpiece. I love it but I always skip 'Machine Gun'. Too much evil. Pretty amazing Clockwork Orange-esque outro though.
I don't like ALL of this album, but I like most of it. The songs I like are enough for me to keep coming back to it. It's a really great album to listen to at night - it takes you on a journey and then leaves you stranded! A fantasy we all share, I think you'll agree.
