Download Girls Names' Mix for Skinny Wolves
Ahead of the release of Dead To Me, the debut LP from Belfast noise pop trio Girls Names, the band have stitched together a pretty lethal SoundCloud mix for the good folks at Skinny Wolves. It will comfortably provide your recommended daily allowance of '80s weird indie, so get downloading below. Television Personalities, Felt and The Fire Engines are all on there, alongside present-day influences like Blank Dogs and (the band's Slumberland labelmates) Crystal Stilts. The whole thing makes for a great soundtrack to assembling a patio table-and-chairs set in a sunny back garden, as we've just discovered.
Dead To Me – "an old-fashioned pop album, albeit one with a perverse, haunted feel", according to the band – is set for release on April 25 via Tough Love Records in The UK & Europe, and a day later in The States courtesy of Slumberland. Skinny Wolves will be hosting the Dublin LP launch party as a BYOB event at Hello Operator on Saturday, April 30. Before that, there's the Belfast launch gig at the city's Menagerie venue next Monday night, and we're told a London show is also in the pipeline. You can pre-order the album now over here.
